I take photos for fun. I take photos to accompany my stories and I take photos because I love photography. I am one of those people who can stare at a great photo forever. There is something about a moment captured in time that seems more powerful than any moving image will ever be. I love street photography, in the spirit of the great street photographers like Henri Cartier-Bresson and Willy Ronis and Robert Doisneau. I am both humbled and inspired by their work. I am also realistic about my own level of mastery so I continue to study. I have taken workshops with the NPPA (National Press Photographers Association and with photojournalist Peter Turnley and others.
Below are some galleries of photos I have taken that I think illustrate my eye and my approach to photography. All the thumbnails in the left navigation area of this site were also taken by me.
Please contact me if you would like to see any additional photos or purchase any of the photos on this site.
