photography
I take photos for fun. I take photos to accompany my stories and I take photos because I love photography. I am one of those people who can stare at a great photo forever. There is something about a moment captured in time that seems more powerful than any moving image will ever be. I love street photography, in the spirit of the great street photographers like Henri Cartier-Bresson and Willy Ronis and Robert Doisneau. I am both humbled and inspired by their work. I am also realistic about my own level of mastery so I continue to study. I have taken workshops with the NPPA (National Press Photographers Association and with photojournalist Peter Turnley and others.
